- Photos — JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF, resized and compressed client-side on upload; videos — MP4, WebM, and MOV, recorded or uploaded directly in the review form. MIME lists are configurable in the WordPress admin.

No FFmpeg on the server, no CPU spikes, no transcoding queue, no external SaaS storage. The compression modal shows a live preview with pause/resume and auto-pauses when the customer switches tabs; if compression is unsupported or pointless, the original file is sent instead. Photos are optimized before upload as well. Media files upload only after the review text is saved as a native WordPress comment, so there are no "orphaned" files from abandoned forms.
